Induction by Gary McElroy in Jeramy Larson’s absence.  Pledge by Larry Nuffer.  Song of the Day was Star Spangled Banner lead by Jim Mulvany.

SGT. AT ARMS

Tanya Reid paid to announce that Karen Bucey was a nominee for the Herbert G.  Klein Award for Exemplary Leadership at the 2009 Lead San Diego Visionary Awards 21 May at the Marriott.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • Jonathan Stone – Demotion Party June 16th starts at 5:30 pm with cocktails.  Members are free and guests are $50 (actual cost is $80).  Please RSVP on the sign up sheets.

  • Scott Carr – Final accounting for the spring fundraiser held on 2 May:  Expenses were lower than historical at $8800 and the event NET was $34,700 (the goal was $30k).

  • Susan Bleicher – Senior Follies 2009 Season at the Christian Community Theater in El Cajon.  David McKeon’s wife, Susan, is one of the stars of the show.

  • Susan Bleicher - Rotary International Youth Music – need homes for 24 inbound students, attending a 2 week music camp with the San Diego Youth Symphony.

  • Joe Cioken – Military Affairs – Helicopter crash off the USS Nimitz. Scott Carr was recently on board the Nimitz for a rare military experience.  Status of local military ships.  Memorial Day service at Fort Rosecrans at 1000 Monday.  Friday 29 May at 6:30 showing Top Gun and food provided by KC BBQ aboard the Midway.

  • Paul Marsh announced a new baby boy for John Addams: Eli Kruse Adams 9 lbs 13 oz.

  • Pauline Lim-Endresen – Trip to South Africa and Missionvale.

  • Claire Maytum – Just launched the IPO for her new company ROAMBI.com.
