Invocation: Jane Barrett. Paul Marsh lead the pledge. Linda Jalving and Jim Mulveany lead the song of the day – "we are the world" – as a tribute to Michael Jackson. Editor's Note: He may have rolled over in his grave at our feeble attempt at this song!!!
Jim Mulvany won the 50/50. Karny Stefan got recognized for appearing on KUSI. Gary and Karen Green got back from Birmingham and Gary got a hole-in-one. Sandee Rugg’s husband got teaching credential. Larry Nuffer got another letter to the editor published.
Carelton Woodring brought Don Massers. Tanya Reid brought John Phillips. Jeramy Larsons brought Chris Minkee.

This was Karen Green’s first official meeting as President. She expressed her thanks for permitting her to represent our club. She then gave a funny synopsis of what the past presidents said to her.
- Maureen Eberle said “[i]t was all about being awesome.”
- Mike Whitehurst said “[i]t was all about the numbers.”
- Frank Defranceso said “[i]t was all about the vegetables.”
- Linda Jalving said “[i]t was all about the jewelry.”
- Gary Green said “[i]t was all about the 4 way test – for Gary Green.”
Then, she talked about her involvement in Rotary as well as being one of the first women in Club 33.
Then, she introduced the board:
- Lynn Hamilton – President Elect;
- Mel Gallegos – Past President and Foundation Chair;
- Don Lang – Treasurer;
- Amanda Hyunh – Recording Secretary; and
- Mary Engles – Secretary;
Then, she encouraged all members to take part in a committee, and proceeded to introduce the different committees:
- Chris Carstens/Claire Remillard: Community Service committee chairs;
- Gary McElroy: International committee chair;
- Judy Bambace/Jane Barry: Vocational committee chairs;
- Pat Cowett/Robyn Bottomley: Social committee chairs;
- Jeramy Larson/Susan Bleicher: Membership committee chairs;
- Amanda Hyunh/Jenny Goodman: Communication committee chairs (new);
- Scott Carr/Paul Marsh/Larry Nuffer/ Amanda Hyunh/ Claire Remillard: Website & Technology committee chairs;
- Joe Marshall: Spring Fundraiser committee chair;
- Jonathan Stone: Programs committee chair;
- Tanya Reid: RYLA committee chair;
- Sandra Schrift: Peace committee chair & Club Trainer;
- Tom Sayer: Historian;
- Pete McGuire: Club Services; and
- Jeff Hogue: Youth Protection Officer.
