THIS WEEK'S PROGRAM

Nancy Vaughan introduced this week's speaker, Martin Wollesen, Director of Events at UCSD.  Mr. Wollesen gave an informative presentation on his job bringing a vast array of cultural and community programming to UCSD.  Mr. Wollesen is focusing on developing a a new performing arts series called ArtPower!  Mr. Wollesen believes art can be appreciated regardless of your background and can transform lives.  Mr. Wollesen's goal is to foster new discussions about performing art.  Mr. Wollesen'sworld travels greatly influenced his philosopy on art.  He equates travel to art because require you to go to new places, always having to discover new things, and stretching your definition of who you are.  We look forward to getting notices of upcoming programming events as Mr. Wollesen energizes the performing arts at UCSD.  Next week's speaker will be Garry Ridge of the WD-40 Company.  Have a great week.
