This Week's Bulletin Was Written By Sandra Schrift
The San Diego Breakfast Rotary Club was called to order at 7:35 a.m. this 22nd day of March by our President Maureen. Lynn Hamilton, fresh from her spiritual week at world famous Rancho La Puerta Spa, gave an inspiring invocation and Eileen led the pledge of allegiance . None of our songmeisters were present, so alas, no vocal jogging this morning. Pete McGuire introduced our many guests. No visiting Rotarians were in attendance.

Cath Kachur, Executive Director, of Citizen Diplomacy Council of San Diego, explained Citizen Diplomacy Council’s work in the world. They are in the idea and people exchange business by cross-pollinating ideas that work with the people who can use them to build themselves and their countries. They arrange professional appointments and American experiences for visiting professionals from over 145 countries, who come to San Diego to learn. Most importantly, they are updating the United States’ image in the world. Visitors are amazed at the amount of “volunteerism” that takes place in the U.S. as well as our geographical and demographical diversity. Goal – to build one week home stays for these professional visitors with American families while they spend their days learning from a variety of legal, medical, cultural, educational, environmental and government agencies.
Meeting adjourned at 8:35am
Next week’s program will be the Semi-Finals of the Four Way Speech Contest. MEETING WILL START AT 7:20 A.M. PLEASE BE SEATED PRIOR TO THEN!
Have a great week!
