this week’s meeting
This week’s meeting started with President Frank’s usual Gooood Morrrrning!! Call to order at 7:30 a.m., the Pledge by Jay Sener IV and an inspiring invocation from Ken Doyle. We sang “Climb Every Mountain”, led by Jim Mulvaney and Linda Jalving with a cameo appearance by David Buro( his last meeting with us before moving to New York- Good luck David!!). Various guests were introduced .

Monday June 14th- Frank’s last
official board meeting at
Ø Tuesday June 22nd- District counsel meeting w/ Frank Devlyn as the keynote speaker.
Ø Next Wednesday- June 16th is Frank’s last meeting @ the University Club before the new Rotary year begins
Ø Following week meeting June 23rd will be held at the Joan Kroc center – Click Here For Directions
Ø Ron Erbetta-(president Elect) announced the Rotary Centennial meeting July 18th to be held at the Hotel del Coronado – Gov. Arnold has been invited but no news confirming his appearance- $100 per person- sign up now on the district website.

Mr. Gary Green announced a “last chance
“ opportunity to contribute to the international Rotary forum where he

Jalving has qualified for a second Paul Harris Fellowship award for her contributions
to Rotary over the past years, and she presented it to her significant other, Michael
Stevenson.

Erbetta announced that he will be reporting on his experience at the

– at Arms Bill Poirier - quite few Bitches and brags- with a raffle
drawing awarding a book from his famous collection and a $25.00 gift
certificate to Starbucks!

Jim Mulvaney introduced both of today’s
guest speakers-
1)
First was Vince Mud (
President of Big Brothers and Sisters)- who we’ve all met before, gave a
great description and summary of the Big brothers and Sisters program here in
San Diego. He let us know about the success of the program and the need for more volunteers as there are
325 kids on the waiting list. One person can make a difference!!!
Jim Brogan- Followed with a very motivating presentation on
“Goals, Courage and Attitude”- Jim Brogan is a former professional basketball
