this week’s meeting
Our final meeting of Frank’s regime was brought to order by incoming President Ron Erbetta at close to 7:30, but PM on a Tuesday night and offsite at the San Diego Yacht Club. We pledged the flag and Ron thanked God for the blessings bestowed on Rotary, and Linda Jalving led us in another round of Auld Lang Sine. Ron spent a considerable time declining to speak on all the wonderful things Rotary International, District 5340 and our Club do around the world. He then turned the microphone over to Sgt. Billy and his sidekick, Gilligan for the Top Ten Reasons Frank Has To Be Demoted. With the roast complete, Gary Green started what is hoped to be an annual tradition with the presentation of a Presidential Citation to Frank. It was then Frank’s turn to thank all the members who gave their time and talent to making his year a complete success. As he brought each one up, his wife, Chris, presented a pair of engraved champagne flutes. In Frank’s words, it is these people who make out Club the most vibrant, irreverent, exciting, and desired Club in all the District (or something like that!). From all of us to you, Frank, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for a job well done! Now for some pictures!!
