PRESENTATION

Past District Governor and Columbia law grad Pat Crowell gave us a whirling sand kind of tour of little known Libya, site of fabulous Roman ruins, petroglyphs, unspoiled beaches, oil, hardly any hotels and many life size posters of Muammar Khadafi.  Libya is a large country with a population of about 5million mostly coastal dwellers. Pat advised us to wait a few years before visiting this fascinating place to allow the adaptable Bedouin Mr. Khadafi just a little time to develop the tourist infrastructure needed to accommodate the cruise ships already hovering in its excellent harbors.
