Ø Operation Stand Down – Rotary will be hosting this annual breakfast for Veterans and their families on July 15, 16, and 17. We will need volunteers to help hand out clothing. For more information please speak to Gary Green.

Ø Martin Blair announced that it is the last week for Rotaract President Geoff Miller.
Ø Ken Juen reported on his tour of the USS Abraham Lincoln and told us how wonderful it is.
Ø At the beginning of the last term, past Sgt at Arms Bill Poirier challenged Mike Gilligan to try and exceed the amount of money he raised. If Mike Gilligan won the challenge then Poirier would contribute an additional $250. Well Mike surpassed the challenge by the end of the 3rd quarter back in January. Way to go Mike! Bill Poirier was happy to award the promised $250 and then he went on to renew the challenge for the next Sgt at Arms. Thanks for the incentive Bill!

Recycled water costs about .42 for every dollar of regular water. The City of San Diego Water Department is
looking for public feedback. They want your opinions on the various options for
expanding recycled water use. There are a wide range of meetings and
communication opportunities – including a speaker’s bureau, American
Assembly process, stakeholder interviews, and website – are facilitating
dialogue and information sharing with city residents and the study team. Please
give them feedback through a web based survey which can be found at www.sandiego.gov/water/waterreusestudy.
