Ø 2 tickets to the Neville Bros. and a night stay at Humphrey’s were unclaimed Fundraiser donations, and Cynthia Sener brought them to the meeting to be auctioned off. After heated bidding with Jonathan Stone, Gary Green collected the package for a $140.00 donation to the Club.
Ø In his final performance, Mike collected fines for Patsy Cowett’s 36th wedding anniversary on the 22nd and Wayne Horning’s birthday. Lots of bitches and brags topped off a fabulous year’s effort from Mike and generosity from Club members! He extended thanks to all members.

the Quarter” award to Roel Construction, a company that came to
This Week’s Speakers
Larry Nuffer introduced speaker’s Diana Getrich Villegas,
executive Director and Berenice Gil, Program Director from the Barrio Logan
College Institute. BLCI is an after school tutoring and enrichment program for
about 150 specially selected students in that area with the intention of
special preparation for college. The
program begins in Grade 3 and continues through Grade 12 and
requires parent and child participation. After 10 years of work their first
students are going off to colleges like Yale and
Opportunities for mentoring, tutoring and contributions are available. Look at their website for more information.
President Ron’s Final Comments
Ron offered profound thanks to the members for their contributions of time and financial support this year. Membership was decreased by six and increased by 14 to bring us to a new all time high of 108 members. Over $44,000. was donated to various local and international projects, including $10,000 to Tsunami victims.
Our thanks to you, Ron for providing your great leadership and organization to the Downtown San Diego Breakfast Rotary Club! Welcome aboard, Moe!
