Ø Mary Dawe – Mary announced that she is coordinating the District dinner that will feature TV personality Stephanie Edwards as the speaker. The dinner and speaker are only $32. Contact Mary to get your name on the list.

Are Needed – The District would like volunteers to meet and greet the
foreign District Governors at the airport.
Book packing volunteers are needed to help pack books to be sent to

THIS WEEK’S SPEAKER
Nancy
Vaughan introduced this week’s speaker, Michael (Mic) Hager, Ph.D., from
the San Diego Natural History Museum.
Mic has been with the San Diego Natural History Museum since 1991. The museum’s mission is to
“Interpret the natural world through research, education, and exhibits.” There is a tremendous amount of research that
is done with 35 members in their research department. The museum is instrumental in conservation
throughout
Fossil Mysteries, a new exhibit, will open in July 2006 showcasing regional fossils from the last 75 million years. The Dead Sea Scrolls are coming in July 2007.
Everyone is encouraged to go visit the museum and see the interesting exhibits.
Next week’s speaker is Chef Larry – It should be a delicious meeting.
