Ø Sgt. Larry Nuffer announced Jim Mulvaney as the $40 NCAA pool winner.
Ø Sgt. Larry Nuffer also announced Scott Carr and Jenny Goodman as lucky pool winner’s from the Master’s Golf Tournament at $20 a piece.
Ø Jim Mulvaney was the winner in the opportunity drawing and won another $35.
Ø Chris Carstens was featured on the NBC Nightly News in a segment on, Internet Safety.
Ø Dave Ferguson celebrated his [??] birthday on Sunday
Ø Joe Ciokon celebrated 37 years of marriage.
Ø Tom Sayer’s son took the wheel for the first time without incident. Michael Whitehurst, on the other hand, just replaced his garage door!
Ø Bobbi Spinner-Flack is the proud grandmother of an 8lb baby girl.

Bobby Daniels announced the club sponsored two high school students as

Ø Special Guest, Eduardo Aguilar from the Mid City Rotary Club presented a certificate of thanks to our club for its donation towards their Immunization Program of “Vaccinate Your Staff”. We are invited to attend the April 26th quarterly awards recognition.
Ø District Conference on May 27th for $50 includes ticket to Padres game and opportunity to participate in $10 raffle to throw out the first pitch at the game. Ron also modeled the Rotarians-At-Play baseball cap. Sign up Sheet was circulated.

Ø Fundraiser: Dinner auction gifts deadline is April 15th. Looking for live auction items and sponsors.

Community Emergency Response
CERT
A community outreach training program to help community members and citizens respond to emergencies. Given the recent disasters and emergencies, Cedar Fire, 9-11, Hurricane Katrina, etc… this program has become very important to communities. Tuition free class for community members to earn their “green CERT jackets” as modeled by a few of our members. To learn more, you can go to www.certsandiego.org
