Rotary and The San Diego Partnership's Clean and Safe Initiate New Venture

The Downtown San Diego Rotary Club has joined with the San Diego Partnership's Clean and Safe Program to initiate a pioneering venture to clean and beautify the streets in downtown San Diego. The Club's Environmental Committee has agreed to fund the first "Adopt a Block" project which will hopefully lead to many more partnerships and beautification street projects.

Existing open trash containers were removed from the 300 block of West Broadway and replaced with enclosed receptacles and large planters which prevented individuals from accessing the enclosed trash. The project was a huge success!
