Sharing Our Passion For Rotary

One of the major perks of being a member of the San Diego Downtown Breakfast Rotary Club is the location of our weekly meetings: the magnificent University Club Atop Symphony Towers.  Although many of our club members are also members of the UClub, not all members of the UClub are familiar with Rotary or know that we meet and eat there every Wednesday morning.
 

Recently, we had an opportunity to introduce our club to UClub members by participating in their “Third Thursday” event, organized by the Young Executive Society (YES).  This month’s theme was “The Future of San Diego,” a topic near and dear to our hearts.  Our club members were happy to share information generally about what Rotary does, the many local and international projects we participate in to improve the lives of those less fortunate, and how our club is helping to shape the future of our city.

 

The event was a huge success!  We connected with like-minded people who share our passion and commitment for service.  Lots of UClub members expressed an interest in getting to know more about Rotary, and even signed up to be guests at one of our weekly breakfast meetings.
