As a founding member of the Downtown San Diego Rotary Club, Martin’s dedication to service has left an indelible mark on our city. For years, he sponsored a Rotaract Club, guiding and inspiring young adults to embrace Service Above Self and discover the power of Rotary.

Beyond his dedicated service, Martin is the co-owner of the landmark Kansas City BBQ—a piece of San Diego and Hollywood history! Last year, Martin generously hosted a Rotary club meeting at the restaurant, treating us to the story of how movie producers approached him to film the legendary "Great Balls of Fire" scene in Top Gun.
