San Diego Downtown Breakfast Rotary
Named Best Large Club in District 5340
On Monday evening June 24th, at the Annual Rotary District Governor’s Dinner, District Governor Don Fipps announced after a thorough review and detailed analysis of all 62 Rotary Clubs in San Diego District 5340, the District has determined that the San Diego Downtown Breakfast Rotary Club was the "Best Large Club" in 2023-24! We always thought we were the best club but the recognition is terrific. Congratulations to president Steve and all of our members.

At the Governor's Dinner, June 24th, the San Diego Downtown Breakfast Rotary Club received the award for the "Best Large Club". District Governor Don Fipps based his selection on membership growth, per-capita giving to The Rotary Foundation, and number of club projects entered in the Rotary Showcase. Our membership growth was minimal, bringing in 3 new members and losing 2 members over the course of the year. However, our per-capita giving was second highest in the district at $644. In addition, our club had 39 projects listed in Rotary Showcase, including hands-on activities as well as grants. This is a truly impressive performance and deserves recognition.
